Join the Track Friday Movement!
Participate Anywhere, or find or start a meetup.
Joining the Track Friday movement is simple! Whether you're avoiding the Black Friday madness completely, or just want to spend a part of your day giving instead of getting, all you have to do is spend some time going for a run or walk on a local public track or running trail in the spirit of giving. Here's your super-easy 1-2-3 guide:
1) Set your goal - You can walk or run as fast as you want, as far as you want, anywhere you want on Track Friday. You can challenge yourself to your first 5k, walk a mile with your kids, or go nuts and run a marathon. It's your choice, and your event!
2) Support a cause - Track Friday is about more than just getting outside and avoiding the stores. It's about changing our mindset about what's important on Thanksgiving weekend, and supporting charities with action.
You can donate to any 501(c)(3) charity via our National Team Fundraising Page on Razoo. Participants can donate to a cause that's already posted, or can create their own fundraiser for a cause to add it to the board. The more people participate, the more charities benefit!
3) Spread the word - Use social media, email, and community boards to tell the world what you're up to. Tell everyone at the office what you're going to be doing on the day after Thanksgiving! Encourage your friends to support your fundraiser and join you on the track or trail, or help them get their own fundraiser started. That's how movements spread!
4) Run or walk on Track Friday! - OK, so there are really four steps, but 1-2-3 has such a nice ring to it... You've done your part to spread the movement and support your cause. Now get out there and have fun! You can participate on any publicly available track or path, or make special arrangements with your township if you have a special venue in mind.
Wherever you are, be sure to use the hashtag #TrackFriday when posting on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
