Track Friday meetups should be free of pressure or expectations. To keep meetups fairly consistent and aligned with the goals of Track Friday, we request that all meetup coordinators follow a few simple guiding principals:
- The meetup must be free and open to the public.
- No registration fees; only suggested donations to charity may be requested.
- Participants may support any charity they wish.
- No distance or pace requirements; participants may run or walk any distance, at any pace.
- Supporting 501(c)(3) charities is encouraged. We do not endorse the use of our brand for political or unverified private causes.
- The event must take place with permission from the venue. The local Meetup Coordinator should obtain permission from the venue to host a Track Friday event and must adhere to any and all requirements of the venue.
- The event must be Zero-Footprint - leave the venue as you found it, if not cleaner!
Important!
To be a recognized Track Friday Meetup, the Meetup Coordinator must acknowledge that Track Friday, the organizers and sponsors of Track Friday events, and the employees and agents of any publicly-accessible site at which they choose to host a meetup, are indemnified and assume no liability for any such claim resulting from the participation of the public. Participants may participate in this event virtually at any publicly-available track or running trail, or by joining a recognized Track Friday Meetup, and do so solely at their own risk and within the parameters of the legal public use of the selected venue. If the venue requires it, Meetup Coordinators may require participants to sign a local waiver to participate in the meetup.
